Dear Families,

All students enjoyed the first five days of our SES Spirit Week. Personally, I loved seeing several students come in dressed as the principal! Our staff and students really seemed to enjoy themselves throughout the week. Some of our middle school students also participated in a nature hike. Students learn so much from these experiences, so please keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities.

Elementary and middle school classes closed out the first trimester today. Yes, we have officially completed one-third of our school year! Time flies when you’re having fun. We hope to continue this positive momentum and enjoyment into our second trimester. Both elementary and middle school students also participated in their end-of-term celebrations today.

Next week is a short but busy one. School will be in session only on Monday and Tuesday. There will be no school on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. We will return from Thanksgiving Break on Monday, December 1, 2025, and resume our normal schedule.

On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, we will be holding our SES Turkey Bowl, weather permitting. Please make sure students are dressed appropriately, as the event will be held outdoors. Following that, we will have our Friendsgiving Feast. Opt-out letters for this event were sent home last week. Please contact the school if you did not receive one or if you have any questions.

Remaining Spirit Week Schedule:
Mon, Nov 24: Flannel or PJ Day
Tue, Nov 25: Fall Colors Day

We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.

Best,

Erik Desmond
